Encrypted backup file
Create a password-protected backup file. Keep it outside the tablet as a second copy.
Backup export requires two matching password entries.
Restore replaces the current local database. Use restore only when you deliberately want to recover from a backup.
Cloud backup architecture
Backups are administrator-only. The app is designed so cloud backup can be added without changing the offline attendance workflow. The client sends an encrypted backup blob; the server never needs the learner records in readable form.
Status: Optional connector not configured. Offline operation does not depend on cloud availability.
Security audit
Administrative controls: encrypted backup export/restore is Administrator-only. Attendance changes record the previous and new status plus the note/reason when a record changes.
